Verkko Stratégies Inc. (“Verkko,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of visitors to our websites and users of our services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you under applicable law, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (commonly known as “Law 25”).
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to verkko.ca and any related websites, applications, or services operated by Verkko. It does not apply to the practices of third-party services we integrate with or resell, such as ActiveCampaign, whose own privacy policies govern their handling of your information.
2. Who We Are
Verkko is based in Québec, Canada, at 1111 Boulevard Dr.-Frederik-Philips, Suite 600, Saint-Laurent, Québec, H4M 2X6, CANADA. We are an official ActiveCampaign reseller and provide additional bundled tools — including Feedback & Support, Data & Conversions, Reviews, and built-in two-way SMS — to attractions, venues, and membership-based organizations.
3. Personal Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, job title, and company name, when you book a demo, request information, or sign up for our Services.
- Account and billing information: information associated with your ActiveCampaign account managed through Verkko, including billing and subscription details.
- Communications: records of correspondence when you contact us for support or through our contact form.
- Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Information you submit through embedded forms on our website (e.g., our contact form).
4. How We Use Your Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our Services, including setting up and supporting your ActiveCampaign account;
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- Send you service-related communications and, where you have consented, marketing communications;
- Improve our website and Services, including through analytics;
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
We only collect and use personal information for purposes that are reasonable and necessary for these stated objectives, in accordance with Law 25.
5. Consent
We obtain your consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. You may withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information for marketing purposes at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our communications. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain Services.
6. Person in Charge of the Protection of Personal Information
In accordance with Law 25, Verkko has designated a person responsible for ensuring compliance with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. You may contact our Privacy Officer at support@verkko.ca with any question, concern, or complaint regarding the protection of your personal information.
7. Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share personal information with:
- ActiveCampaign, to set up, migrate, and support your marketing automation account;
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, hosting, analytics), under contractual obligations to protect your information;
- Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law.
8. Cross-Border Transfers of Personal Information
Some of our service providers, including ActiveCampaign, are located outside Québec, including in the United States. Before transferring personal information outside Québec, we conduct an assessment to ensure the information will receive protection equivalent to that required under Québec law, as required by Law 25.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When personal information is no longer needed, we securely destroy or anonymize it.
10. Security Measures
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request the portability of certain personal information you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- Withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@verkko.ca. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not currently use your personal information to render decisions based exclusively on automated processing that would produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and provide the information required by law.
13. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate correctly, understand how visitors use our site, and improve our Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website.
14. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for business use and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
16. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information that we have not resolved to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI), the regulatory authority responsible for the enforcement of Law 25.
